Data Cup
Objectives
To design the website for new B2B tech company, Data Cup. They needed several pages with CTAs, pricing table, features page and all important blog section. They wanted a content management system that was simple enough for non-technical staff to make content changes and create blog posts. Having experienced issues in the past, WordPress was simply not an option for this tech savvy company.
Solution
We opted for a design that was instantly recognisable. A modern yet professional corporate design was the objective and we feel we achieved that. Given the budget and timescale allocated, the choice was fairly clear, to build a fully-responsive HTML5 design with the ReactJS, Javascript Framework. I am a huge fan of Gatsby, the static site generator which is built with React. Semantic UI and Flexbox was used to assist with styling.
JAMstack: noun \’jam-stak’\Modern web development architecture based on client-side JavaScript, reusable APIs, and prebuilt Markup.
The JAMstack is not about specific technologies. It’s a new way of building websites and apps that delivers better performance, higher security, lower cost of scaling.
For the backend, the content management was to be built on Netlify. These 2 technologies are a match made in heaven. As for the performance, how does 100/100 on Google PageSpeed insights for Mobile and 99/100 for Desktop sound? see for yourself…
